Violation: stop-work orders and attacks

Location:  Za’tara village- Bethlehem

Date:  July 22, 2015

Perpetrators:  Israel Civil Administration and army

Victims:  Muheisin family

Details:

A force from Israel Civil Administration and an army patrol on July 22, 2015 raided the village of Za’tara and delivered stop-work orders on six under construction residences under the claim of “unlicensed construction”.

According to citizen Bilal Muheisin, the Civil Administration officer arrived at 10:00 a.m. and delivered the orders to the six families in hand, taking into account that the structures are founded in an inhabited area. “It is only to harass us”, Bilal said.

The orders compelled a halt on all construction works and assigned August 17, 2015 as the hearing session Inspection Sub-Committee in the Israeli court of Beit El to consider the status of the notified structures.

It should be marked that the affected owners sought help from the legal organization of Saint Yves to object to the orders. The following table shows information about the affected and their properties:

The dozers of the occupation on July 22, 2015 demolished a retaining wall that surrounds an agricultural plot owned by Citizen Khalaf Muheisin under the claim of lacking permits. The force also confiscated a caravan that was in the plot. Noteworthy, the caravan was used as a storing unit.
