Eviction order on 111 dunums in the Tubas village of Ainon

 

Violation: serving an eviction order on lands

Details:

 A massive force from the Israeli occupation army accompanied by the officer of State Properties- Israel Civil Administration on July 07, 2015 raided the area of Ainon and delivered Tubas Ministry of Agriculture an eviction order on some lands under the claim of them being “state properly”. The order gave the affected a 45 day deadline to restore the previous status of the notified lands.

It should be marked that in 2012, Tubas Ministry of Agriculture embarked on planting different areas from the governorate with forest trees. This step came within “Green Palestine” project. In 2014, more than 12,000 forest trees were planted in an area of 1300 dunums from Ainon, Tubas mayor Ahamad Abdelwahhab said.

Previous violations:

It is indicated that the Committee of Israel State Properties worked so hard to hinder the project of “Green Palestine” since its kick off in all possible ways. On January 2014, the Israeli occupation army raided the areas of Ainon and Al-Mazlaqa and confiscated a number of seedlings, tents and agricultural equipments.

Same scenario was repeated on December 2012, where the Israel occupation army confiscated two water trucks, some tents and agricultural equipments, not mentioning other 200 forest trees (pine, Acacia and carob).

The Israeli occupation authorities on January 2015 served Tubas Ministry of Agriculture a military order compelling the uprooting of 15000 seedlings from a 450 dunum plot from the area of Ainon. The order was served under the claim of the trees being planted in “State Property”. On May 2015, the Israeli occupation army cut down more than 1000 forest trees in the area, which were planted three years ago.

The Planning and Construction Committee- Israel Civil Administration accompanied by military dozer, large hammer and a cement pump on January 29, 2015 raided the area of Ainon and confiscated 300m of water pipelines (6inch). The water pipelines project was still under construction and was funded by International Council of Churches and the Agricultural Relief.

The Planning and Construction Committee- Israel Civil Administration on January 28, 2015 served Tubas Ministry of Agriculture an eviction order on a natural reserve that was being planted with trees as part of a project from the Brazilian Representative Office. A tractor and a water truck (3m2) relative to the ministry were confiscated and the truck’s driver Ahmad Daraghmah was detained as well.
