Demolition of four residences in the Jericho village of Jiftlik

Details:

It did not last more than two month before the Israeli occupation came back to the area of al-Makhrouq with a 9 jeep force to carry out a second demolition campaign, which this time reached out 4 residences from the Khirbet. The first demolition took place on March 10, 2015 and reached out 6 residences.

According to the affected farmer from the last demolition Husam Abu Iram(29),  the Israeli occupation army on April 17, 2014 raided the area and forced a number of families to immediately evacuate their residences before they entirely demolished them.

Noteworthy, the new targeting attack came without any previous notification or stop-work orders served on the residences. The following table shows damages resulted by the demolition:

The targeted families depend on agriculture as their only source of income, taking into consideration that they work as farmers in their vegetables and wheat fields; they have been residing the area since 15 years, taking into account that al-Makhrouq lands are registered  as "Tabo" and owned by people from al-Jiftlik and the nearby villages.
