Demolition of a three-story house in the Tulkarm village of al-Jarushiya

Violation:  destroying a house

Date:  09/03/2015

Location: al-Jarushiya village/ Tulkarm

Perpetrators: Israel  Planning and Construction Committee

Victims:  family of Kifah Sholi

Details:

Israeli forces  accompanied by a military dozer raided the area of al-Jarushiya, north Tulkarm that is adjacent to the apartheid wall.

It is indicated that the occupation army declared the area a "closed military one" while the dozer embarked on demolishing a three-story house and ravaging a 2300m2 land surrounding it .

The house is reported to be owned  by Palestinian judge Kifah Abd al-Rahim Sholi who works in Palestine Court of Appeal. The 150m2 residence is a home for 7 members including 5 minors; the house was built in 2009.

It should be also marked that the judge received a stop-work order on his house that is only 1500m away from the apartheid wall on April 2013. On March 05, 2015, Kifah received an order entitled " additional opportunity to object a demolition order". Despite that order, the house was demolished.
