Demolition orders on 3 cisterns implemented within a land reclamation project carried out by Land Research Center in Hebron

 

Violation: demolition  work orders on cisterns

Details:

On September 30th 2014, the authorities of the Israeli occupation served "stop work and demolition" orders on cisterns in Karma village, south of Hebron city.

The chairman of Karma village council Talab Abu Shiekha stated that the cisterns owners  found the aforementioned orders left next to the structures. It should be mentioned that the cistern owners received stop work orders on 21/08/2014 but they went on with the construction though.

The military orders mentioned that the cisterns were unlicensed construction and compelled work termination. The court of Beit El set July 17th  2014 as a date for the Inspection Sub-Committee session to consider the status of the notified structures.

The cistern belong to the following people:

Citizen Ahmad Awawdah :   on August 21st 2014, he was served a  demolition order on a cistern( rehabilitated in 2006)  used to irrigate his land , which is planted with olives.

Citizen Mohammad Awawdah :   on August 21st 2014, he was served a  demolition order on a cistern implemented within  a land reclamation project carried out by Land Research Center in Hebron. The cistern was to irrigate his land , which is to go under reclamation.

Citizen Tawfiq Awawdah :  he was served a  demolition order on a cistern implemented within  land reclamation project carried out by Land Research Center in Hebron. The 150m3 cistern was to irrigate his  15 dunums land.
