The occupation threatens to demolish three residence in Idhna

 

Violation: threats to destroy structures

Details:

On September 17th 2014, the Civil Administration accompanied by a military patrol raided the village of Idhna and served "additional opportunity to object demolition" for three families residing in Idhna, west of Hebron.

The orders were issued by the Civil Administration- Supreme Council of Planning- the Inspection Sub-Committee. Those orders included giving an additional opportunity for people to object, in three days, in the secretariat of the Central Inspection Unit.

The houses are owned by the following:

  1. Citizen Aref Abu Zalta's house: Atef received " additional opportunity to object demolition" order, which mentioned that the occupation authorities served on, March 3d 2009, a final stop work and demolition order on the house. Noteworthy, the citizen asserted that he received but  a stop work order on 03/11/2008. Abu Zalta's house is of 130m2 and is composed of two floors. The house was built in 2004 using cement and rocks and is a residence of  6 members including 4 minors.

  1. Citizen Amjad Noufal : Amjad received " additional opportunity to object demolition" order, which mentioned that the occupation authorities served on ,January  19d 2009, a final stop work and demolition order on the house. Noteworthy, the citizen asserted that he received but  a stop work order on 03/11/2008.Noufel's house is of 110m2 and was built in 2004 using cement and rocks and is a residence of  7 members including 5 minors.

  1. Citizen Awad Noufal : Awad received " additional opportunity to object demolition" order, which mentioned that the occupation authorities served on, January  19d 20014, a final stop work and demolition order on the house. Noteworthy, the citizen asserted that he received but  a stop work order on 03/11/2008.Noufel's house is of 130m2 and is composed of one floor. The house was built in 2008 using cement and rocks and is a residence of  7 members including 5 minors.

It should be marked that the residences' owners denied receiving stop work and demolition orders which are mentioned in the additional opportunity order but they all asserted receiving stop work orders only. Owners ,then, headed to Jerusalem Center for Legal Aid and submitted an object through Attorney Husam Jaraja and a licensing application for their houses as well. The attorney to Amjad said that the order was suspended but to the owners' surprise, demolition orders were served on their structures. Therefore, citizens referred to the attorney who told them to postpone the issue until 17/10/2014.
