Details:

On May 13, 2014 the authorities of the occupation served a number of structures in Ghuwein, south of Samu’ town in Hebron stop work orders. Citizen Abdel Mune’m Hawamdeh(62) stated that: “ a patrol of the occupation accompanied by officers of the Civil Administration raided the village and served stop work orders to different structures and a  mosque”.

The orders indicated that the structures were unlicensed and assigned June11, 2014 a final date to consider whether to demolish the structures or leave them to their original status

About Ghuwein :

The village is located 6km south to Samu’ town and is considered part of it. It has a total population of 150 until 2014 of 14 families of Hawamdeh and Dghamin. The Khirbet is linked to Samu’s by a rough uneven agricultural rood that crosses the bypass road no.317. With no kind of services available in the Khirbet, villagers fully depend on plantation and animals breeding. From the west of Ghuwein, there is Shani Levni colony, and from the east there is al-Kharaneh area. As for the north; there is Samu’a and a bypass road where from the south; there is the apartheid wall which was founded on more than 1000 confiscated dunums of the village.
