Date: 31/03/2014
Location: Yatta – Hebron governorate
Perpetrators: Civil Administration of the Israeli occupation
Victims: 32people including 16 minors

Details:

On 31/03/2014, the authorities of the occupation served four stop work orders for residences of Khalit al-Mayeh village, east of Yatta town in Hebron governorate.

Citizen Ibtahim Awad stated that the civil state accompanied by a patrol of the occupation raided the village, hanged the orders on the structures, and took photos of them before they had left.

The orders mentioned that the residences are” unlicensed” and requested them immediate termination. A court session of the Inspection Sub-Committee will be assigned on the 24/04/2014 in Beit El to consider whether to "demolish the structure or to return it to its original status".

The inhabitants asserted that their residences are located within the built-up area of their village and showed concern about the Israeli threats of demolition. Awad, who works in the Ministry of Education, is waiting impatiently to move to his new two floors house which has cost him around 200 thousand ISN and left him in debt.
