Violation: a stop-work order for a residence.

Location: Abu Sud neighborhood in al Khader – Bethlehem.

Date: December 23, 2012.

Perpetrators: the Israeli Occupation Civil Administration.

Victim: Taha Salah.

Details:

On December 23, 2012, Israeli troops broke into Abu Sud neighborhood in al Khader and handed Taha Salah a stop-work order designated for his 200-m2 3-bedroom residence. The order was issued on the pretext of unlicensed construction in area classified 'C' according to Oslo. The estimated cost of the house which built over a 1-dunum-plot is estimated to be around 150,000 ILS.

The owner said:'the Israeli Occupation Authorities handed me a stop-work order for my residence; it is my land and my house; it took me years of working hard to save enough money in order to provide a safe shelter for my family and now they come with this order. I would never give up on my house and I shall continue construction despite'.

Currently, Taha is working on issuing a construction permit for the residence. Taha Salah is the sole supporter of a 6-member family.
