Details:

On 23/10/2013, the occupation troops accompanied by the CA raided the locations of Khirbet ed-Dair and al Minyeh in Tuqu and served stop work orders on four structures. During the raid, the orders were hanged on the houses owned by Citizens Ibrahim Suliman, Ali Suliman, and Zyad Suliman.

Kamal who reside in one of the notified houses to the LRC researcher stated the following: “I live in here since 6 years and I paid all my saving in this house. I was shocked to know that my house was notified which made my family and I living in a contentious fear and stress of the hidden future”.

The orders mentioned that the structures were unlicensed construction and asked owners for immediate termination of work. The 10/11/2013 was assigned as a court session for the Inspection Sub-Committee to consider the status of the notified structures.

One the other side, residents of the houses prepared all the legal papers to object the demolition order and to obtain a construction permit. Residents also sought Human Rights organizations to offer them assistance in their issue. The following table shows information about the residents and their notified houses:
