The Palestinian ghors are always under attack by the Israeli occupation and fanatic colonists. The occupation uses every possible way to Judaize the land and strip people from their most fundamental human rights which is the right to land and residence, especially in one’s ancestors’ lands.

Clonists of "Rotem", on the first day of Eid (a Muslim festival), attacked a farm of dates in Raas Al-Hama, Wadi Al-Maleh where they cut down 24 date trees. That act led to the damage of more than 1 ton of dates in a place this product is considered an income for many. The trees belong to Majed Daraghma (51 years old), a breadwinner for his 9-member family, 5 of whom are children.

Majed Daraghma told an LRC observer that," there is a systematic policy by the Israelis to attack the place. They banned me several times from irrigating my lands and they stole lands and damaged trees for other famers."

Mohammad Al-Mallah, the legal consultant in Toubas governorate, stated to an LRC observer that: "This step is not only meant to destroy the agricultural industry in the region but also to drain citizens psychologically and financially and eventually drive them away from their lands of which the colonists took over vast areas." He also added, " citizens pay a lot of money to the Israeli courts for retaining their agricultural lands but the Israeli judicial body system is biased against Palestinians and encourages Judaization and land theft under the pretext of security reasons."
