A new wave of colonists attacks hit Nablus countryside as a group of colonists took advantage of the calmness of the night to break into As Sawiyya village on May 13, 2013. The colonists first target was the village’s cemetery where they wrote racist and offensive slogans on the graves. The assailants then moved on to damage some cars and equipment and write more slogans, this time on houses.

As Sawiyya has been targeted by colonists attacks numerous times in recent years; olive trees has been the main target alongside agricultural fields in the village. Not a month passes without recording at least one attack.
