Violation: demolishing an under-construction residence.

Date: January 21, 2013.

Location: Al Raf’iyya in Yatta – Hebron.

Perpetrators: the Israeli Occupation Army.

Victim: Hamad al Umoor.

 

Details:

 

On January 21, 2013, the Israeli Occupation Army demolished the residence of Hamad al Umoor located in al Raf’iyya in Hebron. The owner said: ‘Israeli troops accompanied by a dozer set siege around the house before the dozer knocked it down’.

He said that he received ‘stop-work order’ in October, 2012 but he assigned a lawyer to follow the case up; however, the Israeli Occupation Army demolished the residence before issuing a final demolition order. He said that the Israelis confiscated a jackhammer from the construction site in October, 2012; the jack hammer was not released until the owner paid 8000 ILS in penalties. The construction of the 120-m2-residence started in October, 2012.
