Stop-work orders for 8 Palestinian residences in Idhna.

Violation: stop-work orders for 8 residences in Idhna.

Date: December 25, 2012.

Location: Al Ras area in Idhna, Hebron.

Perpetrators: the so-called Organization and Construction Committee, the Israeli Occupation Civil Administration.

Details:

On December 25, 2012, the Israeli Occupation Authorities issued stop-work orders for a number of residences located in Al Ras area in Idhna. The owners said that Israeli troops broke into the area, placed the orders on the residences doors, took pictures of them before leaving.

The orders said that the structures were built prior to acquiring proper permits and set January 17, 2013 as the date of a hearing session to be held before the Inspection Subcommittee to decide on what they called ‘demolition or returning to the status quo’. The owners rushed to prepare the needed documents for applying for construction permits and object to the orders.
