The Land Research Center Statement on the Israeli Violations of Human Rights
By the time the world gathered to recognize a Palestinian State and recognize the Palestinian right for a state; the Israeli bombs were falling into Gaza to destroy humans alongside civilization… at the same time, Israeli dozers and herds of colonists were roaming the west Bank…confiscating, destroying, burning, up rotting, etc.
the Israeli aggression on Gaza that lasted for 8 days resulted in 165 Palestinian martyrs and over a thousand wounded.
The Israeli Occupation Authorities confiscated a total of 18000 dunums of Palestinian lands and destroyed 543 structures, they also leveled over 370 dunums of agricultural fields so far in 2012.
The blessed olive tree was not spared during 2012 and the olive picking season, which a season of joy for Palestinians, have been shadowed by the colonial aggressions which included burning, uprooting, corrupting, or cutting olive trees as well as stealing the olive crops.
In the past olive season (September 15 – November 30) over 76 attacks on Palestinian olives and farmers were recorded, including 41 attacks that included uprooting, burning, cutting trees or soaking olive groves with sewage.
the attacks resulted in:
76 attacks on farmers including 70 that were committed by colonists.
2183 olive trees were damaged during the olive picking season, these included:
1900 trees cut or uprooted, 250 trees soaked in sewage, and 33 burned.
975 trees were permanently damaged were the rest were ravaged partially.
the attacks hit 315 seedlings, 510 5-10 years of age, and 1358 productive trees.
In the international Human Rights day, what would the world say to the farmers, to the orphans, or to the homeless who lost their shelters thanks to Israeli measures.
The free world shall have his head in the ground in shame of the Palestinian situation until it stands against the most brutal and last occupation in this world and give the Palestinians their internationally recognized rights.
