Violation: demolition order for a pool and a stop-work order for a cistern.

Date: November 6, 2012.

Location: Qizon – Hebron.

Perpetrators: the Israeli Occupation Civil Administration – the Higher Organization Council, the Inspection Subcommittee.

Victims: Alaa and Mohammad Zalloum.

 







 

 

Details:

 

On November 6, 2012, the Israeli Occupation Authorities issued stop-work and demolition orders for a cistern and a pool in Qizon. An Israeli patrol accompanied by officer of the Israeli Occupation Civil Administration handed the owners the following orders:

 

1- Order 391003 entitled ‘stop-work and demolition order’ was designated for a pool used for storing water to supplu a 3-dunum-field with water. It was built in 2007.

The order said that a previous order was issued on September 5, 2012 but the owner denied receiving any previous orders. According to the order,  the owner must destroy the pool within three days of the order’s date.

 

2- Order 150864 entitled ‘stop-work order’ was designated for an under construction water cistern with a capacity of 200 m3, property of Mohammad Zalloum.The owner intended to build a house at the top of the cistern.


 

The order set November 22, 2012 as the date of a hearing session to be held before the Inspection Subcommittee to decide on what they described as ‘demolition or returning to the status quo’. The victims sought the assistance of the Land Research Center which offered them guidance for the preparation of a case file.
