Violation: partial demolition of a residence, rendering it unusable.

Date: October 30, 2012.

Location: Beit Ummar – Hebron.

Perpetrators: the Israeli Occupation Army.

Victim: Waheed abu Maria.

On October 30, 2012, the Israeli Occupation forced partially demolished a residence in Beit Ummar before arresting the owner. Mohammad abu Maria, the son of the owner, said that a large Israeli force set siege around the residence and ordered us to evacuate it. They also ordered my father to hand himself in.

 

He said that all of the residents complied except the owner while a dozer embarked on knocking down one side of the house. The soldiers then shot some rounds at the house and told the owner’s wife to go in and persuade him to turn himself in.
