Details:

 

On October 22, 2012, the Israeli Occupation Army demolished an under-construction cistern in Wadi al Ghrous area, east of Hebron. The owner said that an Israeli force accompanied by two dozers broke into the area before the dozers embarked on knocking down the under-construction cistern. The dozers then buried the cistern making reconstruction impossible. He also said that the cistern was 250 m3 in volume and was intended to serve his and his brothers families, a total of 40 people.

 












 









 

 

 

He said that this is the second time that the Israeli Army demolish a cistern, the first time took place in 2012; he said that he received a demolition order before it happened. However, when he asked the officer in charge about the new demolition order he replied that the first order is functioning even in the case of reconstruction.

 

The owner pointed that he intended to finish the construction of the wall before the rainy season to make use of it and also to prevent children from falling into it.
