This year, Ein Shibli received the most drastic damage. On June 24, 2012, a large number of tanks and other vehicles moved into the village and embarked on digging trenches. Three of those trenches were dug nearby Ein Shibli spring which provides the villagers with around 230 m3 used to cover part of the needs of 600 people residing in the village. The trenches drained the spring’s water.

The locals suffered from extreme shortage of water during the training period. The locals had to wait till the soldiers left the area to try to fix the damage and control the flow of water once again. It must be noted that the Israeli training took place in an area not specified for such a purpose, in addition, it is a residential area that is classified ‘B’ according to Oslo which shows the Israeli irresponsible and careless attitude towards Palestinian lives. It also shows that the so-called State of Israel is racist and careless towards the Palestinian rights.

Ein Shibli:

It is located 23 km to the south east of Nablus and edged by Beit Hasan, An Nassariyya, and al Bathan (north), Al Hamra colony and Al Hamra checkpoint to the south east. It is located on a vital road which connects the major cities of Tubas, Jenin, and Nablus.

Its total area is around 900 dunums including 160 dunums that are set in the organizational plan. 300 dunums are cultivated with plants and the rest is cultivated with cereals or used as rangelands. The village is known for the availability of water as it holds 5 natural springs within its boundaries.
