Placement of phony graves in Palestinian lands
Placement of phony graves in Palestinian lands for the purpose of capturing them has become a trend lately. The colonists have been doing this for years and using it as a mean to capture Palestinian lands. This is done while the Israeli Municipality in the Occupied City is digging Maman Allah Cemetery near Dung Gate on the pretext of widening the road. 2 years earlier, they th Municipality buried grave stretching over an 80 meter long section of Bab al Rahma Cemetery and prohibited burying the dead in that section.
On the other hand, colonists turned the children cemetery in Silwan upside down without being stopped by any official body. On March 25, 2012, a number of Israeli colonists (17) broke into Bab Al Rahma Cemetery and conducted some ‘religious’ rituals before breaking some of the gravestones.

The Israeli Police was present at the time of the incident but not to stop the shameful act. This comes after the surface of a plan to transform the cemetery into a ‘biblical park’ that connects Al Aqsa Mosque, the so-called City of David in Silwan.

Discriminatory acts targeting not only the living but also the dead. Maman Allah Cemetery is being turned upside down, parking lots above and pipes and infrastructure penetrating it from within. In Addition, Al Yosifiyya Cemetery in completely neglected; a nearby dumpster site covers the cemetery with bad smells. Meanwhile, the Israeli Municipality in the Occupied City allocated 20,000,000 ILS for the rehabilitation of the Jewish Cemetery on Mount Olive. According to David Hadry, head of the financial committee in the Municipality, in a statement to the weekly ‘Kol Ha’ir’, it is a Jewish national priority.
