The Israeli Occupation Army demolishes a Water Cistern Al Idessa, Sa’ir, Hebron Governorate
The Israeli Occupation Army demolished  a water cistern that serves 5 dunums of land as well as the retaining wall which were recently rehabilitated in Sa’ir. The target property belongs to Jaser Jaradat, the sole supporter of a 12-member-family.

According to Engineer Raed Ewidat, agronomist, field supervisor – LRC, the demolition of the cistern is threatening the survival of 200 grape seedlings that depend on the cistern waters. The cistern was constructed through the ‘ Improving livelihood in the Occupied Palestinian Territories ‘, funded by the Netherlands Representative Office; and implemented partially by LRC and managed by the Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committees (PARC) in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture.

On November 18, 2011, the Israeli Occupation Army troops, accompanied by dozers approached the site before executing the demolitions. It is apparent that the Israeli Occupation Authority has escalated their attacks against Palestinian towns and villages especially those benefiting from development programs.

Recent attacks include the confiscation of a jackhammer which obstructed land reclamations in Suba, Idhna. The Israeli Occupation Army ordered the stoppage of milling and overlaying of an agricultural road in Yasuf as well as leveling reclaimed lands in Beit Ulla alongside many other similar aggressions.

LRC calls for all the humanitarian and civil society organizations to point out the Israeli Occupation Aggressions against Palestinian farms and farmers including land bulldozing and leveling, cutting trees, confiscating water sources while indicating the systematic approach adopted by the Israelis official and non official bodies (colonial societies and colonists groups) under the protection and supervision of the Israeli Occupation Authorities.
