The Israeli Occupation Forces blocked unpaved roads connecting residents’ houses in Yatta. Eyewitnesses stated that an Israeli dozer closed Al Karmel village entrance on August 17, 2011 using earth mounds. The same dozer also closed the entrance of Um al Amad village with earth mounds. It also closed the entrance to Al Juneidi Company Dairy farm which also leads to several houses in Zeef, eastern Yatta.

The locals showed their contempt towards the Israeli measures and movement restrictions. Mohammad al Udra, a taxi driver, said that he faced problems to get to a sick woman house, located 200 meters away from the coony road, due to the imposed movement restrictions.
