The Racist Isolation Wall in Jenin Governorate:
The Wall was initially constructed by the Israeli occupation forces in 2003 as to force a political reality. Its length in the Governorate is about 66 kilometers starting from the area of Dhaher Al Abed in the west of the Governorate and ending the village of Jalboun in the east. There are 17 gates in the Wall including 6 that are totally closed, 6 are seasonally opened while the remaining are commercial ports and worker crossings.

In accordance with the information provided by the GIS Unit at LRC, the Racist Wall has destroyed 3,169 dunums (0.5% of the area of the West Bank) while isolating 6,328 dunums behind it (1% of the area of the West Bank).
The effect of the Racist Wall in Jenin Governorate is devastating as thousands of the residents of the Governorate have lost their lands which were their main source of income.

Moreover, more than 6 thousand Palestinians found themselves trapped behind the Wall in the communities of Barta’a Al Sharqiyya, Dhaher Al Maleh, Umm Reihan, Al Mintar Al Sharqi, Al Mintar Al Gharbi, Khirbet Abdullah Younis, Khirbet Al Omra as well as Khirbet Al Ra’adiyya. The situation in these communities is nothing less than an Israeli crime against the innocent Palestinian civilians who have lost their source of income and are currently unable to reach their houses without a permit from the occupations’ authorities.
