Stop Work Orders Against a Mosque and Two Houses in the Village of Al Ma’asara
Violation: The threat of demolishing two house and a mosque under the pretext of building without a permit.
Location: The village of Al Ma’asara, south of the City of Bethlehem.
Date: November 29th, 2010.
 
Details:
On the 29th of November, 2010, Israeli occupation forces accompanied the Department of Building and Organization associated with the so-called “Civil Administration” into the village of Al Ma’asara in Bethlehem District. Employees of the Department delivered Stop Work Orders against two houses and a mosque in the village. The Orders were issued under the pretext of building without a permit in Area C. One of the houses is owed by Mr. Mahmoud Ahmad Mahmoud Zawahreh. Upon its completion, Mr. Zawahreh intended to move into the 200-m2 house along with his 10-member family. As for the second house, it is owned by Mr. Awad Hasan Zawahreh and is inhabited by his 8-member family. The area of the house is 150 m2.

In addition to the two houses, Israeli occupation forces delivered a Stop Work Order against a mosque known as Khalil Al Rahman Mosque. The mosque is operational with a total area of 100 m2.
