Violators: the Israeli Occupation Organization and Construction Committee.
Victims: table 1.
Majdal Bani Fadil is a peaceful village located to the south east of Nablus city. Its inhabitants depend largely on agriculture in their living. On June 8, 2010, employees of the Israeli Occupation Organization and Construction Committee appeared in the village and distributed 9 stop-work orders using the lame pretext of ‘no construction permits’. A hearing session in Beit El military Court has been set on July 1, 2010. Previously, on May 4, 2010, 7 other similar orders were distributed in the village and a hearing session was set on May 20. However, the ruling was postponed to late August.

As a result of the recent military orders, 117 Palestinians, including 52 children, are placed under constant expulsion threats from their lands inherited through generations. The military orders are distributed randomly; many houses in the village are located in areas classified ‘C’ according to Oslo. This leads to the conclusion that distributing such orders is part of the psychological warfare waged against the Palestinians.
Majdal Bani Fadil village:
It is located 23 km to the south east of Nablus city. Its total area is around 28000 dunums including 160 dunums of built up area. 13000 dunums were confiscated through the years for the sake of the Israeli colonial expansion.
The village is surrounded by a number of Palestinian villages including Qusra, Duma, ‘Aqraba. It used to be connected to Ramallah, Nablus and Jericho through a main road which has been closed since the beginning of the Intifada in 2000.
The only way in and out is through a side road that connects the village with the nearby ‘Aqraba. Majdal Bani Fadil is inhabited by around 3000 people; most of them belong to Zein ad Dein and Othman clans.
The villagers plant their lands mainly with cereals. In addition, there are large areas planted with trees such olives, grapes, fig, and prunus. Also, they largely depend on herding in their living.
