Details:

On 02/09/2013, the Israeli occupation authorities sent stop-work-and-construction orders for three inhabited structures in Ma’la, east of Adh Dhahiriya. The affected citizens attested that officers of the Civil Administration along with a military vehicle raided the eastern part of the town and delivered the stop-work orders to them under the pretext of not having the required permits. The orders set (30/09/2013) as a date for the Inspection Subcommittee meeting in Beit El colony in order to consider "demolishing the houses or retaining them to their previous status."

The orders also noted that the affected citizens could go to the Inspection Subcommittee and apply for a permit or show the receipt of a permit application. But this action may not guarantee their having a permit.

The affected citizens compiled required papers to object the resolutions of the Israeli occupation and went to "Saint Eve" institution to defend their houses, noting that they do not expect the Israeli authorities would grant them construction permits. Fakhri Abu- Sharkh expressed his concern over his 4-storey house especially that the Israeli occupation demolished another house of his back in 1989 under the pretext of unlicensed construction.
The demolished house was 440 m2 in area and had two stories. He had to move to his father’s house in Adh Dhahiriya until he built a new (the now threatened) house in 2000.
