- Details of the violation:
Large forces of the occupation army, accompanied by the so-called construction inspector of the Israeli Civil Administration, raided on Tuesday morning (28/6/2022) Al-Assa area and the junction of Al-Mansoura village, located to the south of Jenin, where the occupation army began to demolish a commercial barracks at the entrance to the village of Al-Mansoura, through a civilian bulldozer that was accompanied by the occupation army, and then demolished another commercial store of bricks and a zinc roof located near the village of Al-Assa, south The city of Jenin, under the pretext of building without a permit, as the occupation alleges.
It is noteworthy that the targeted facilities had previously been notified to stop construction on (25/8/2021), on the pretext of non-licensing, through the so-called construction inspector of the Israeli Civil Administration. At the time, the occupation refused the procedures presented to license these facilities, and the result was the complete demolition of it.
It is noteworthy that the bypass road located in the south of Jenin governorate, starting from Al-Shuhada Junction to Jaba’ village junction, witnessed a noticeable targeting by the Israeli occupation, by demolishing a number of facilities and notifying a number of others in the same area, which greatly affected the commercial and investment activates there.

It is noteworthy that during the month of August of the year 2021, the field researcher monitored the targeting of that same area by demolishing three commercial facilities along the road linking the towns of Arraba and Yabad, with the aim of preventing commercial growth there and restricting Palestinians from movement.
The Land Research Center sees the process of targeting Palestinian homes as a violation of international laws and covenants that stipulate the right to adequate housing. This targeting and demolition process is a clear infringement and a clear violation of all international laws, treaties and covenants, most notably:
- Article (17) of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights – 1948:
Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others. No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property.
- Article (23) of The Hague Convention for the year 1907 prohibition:
To destroy or seize the enemy’s property, unless such destruction or seizure be imperatively demanded by the necessities of war.
- Article 53 of the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1948:
Any destruction by the Occupying Power of real or personal property belonging individually or collectively to private persons, or to the State, or to other public authorities, or to social or cooperative organizations, is prohibited, except where such destruction is rendered absolutely necessary by military operations.
