Description:
August 25th 2021, The Israeli Occupation Authorities carried out a ravaging in a plot in Wad As-Samn / south Hebron.
About 9:00 am, a massive army force, a vehicle from the civil administration, two Hyundai excavators, and a Volvo bulldozer got to a plot that belong to citizen Ratib Ar-Rajabi, encircle it and carried out the ravaging. Noting that the targeted plot is a private property.

The Israeli Occupation mechaneries demolished about 120 m of retaining walls, the owner had built in his land to prevent erosion. In addition to destroying barbed wires and metal angles (about 150 m).

The Occupation Authorities ravaged a plot belong to Ar-Rajabi without any preceding notices, and did not give the chance to the owner to object on the violation committed against the plot.
The owner said that the targeted land benefits four families(15 members).
The Occupation machineries demolished retaining walls at the plot in the past (January 23rd 2019) , under the same pretext. the owner however rehabilitated it and planted it with trees and vegetables , but the occupation machineries ravaged it again.

Israeli Demolitions and Ravages carried out in the occupied Palestinian territories are a violation of international and humanitarian law, including the following articles:
Article 53 of the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1948 prohibits the destruction of property, as this article states the following: “The occupying power is prohibited from destroying any private, fixed or movable property related to individuals or groups, the state or public authorities, or social or cooperative organizations, unless the war operations inevitably require this destruction.
Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “No protected person may be punished for an offense he or she has not personally committed.
Paragraph ‘g’ of Article 23 of the Hague Convention of 1907 AD also warned against destroying or seizing the enemy’s property, unless the necessities of war necessarily require such destruction or seizure.
