Description:
Since early 2021, The Israeli Occupation colonists carry on their attempts to take over ‘Ein Al-Hilweh spring east Wad Al-Malih area. Reportedly, Tuesday morning colonists sat up a caravan on a hill that overview ‘Ein Al-Hilweh Spring and opened a road to connect the caravan to the spring , they also made a pool nearby the spring and put chairs around it , and finally installed a banner in with a new Hebrew name for the spring.
Farmer Mahdi Daraghma told LRC:
“Not long ago, ‘Ein Al-Hilweh Spring was a main source of income for Palestinian herders in nearby communities, where water is very expensive (about 100 nis for 3 m2), which exhaust herders who depend on cattle breeding as a main source of income.”

Moreover, In June 2021, the occupation forces destroyed a water harvesting project implemented by the Palestinian Hydrology group in order to facilitate water provision for herders and cattle.
Wad Al-Malih is heavily targeted by the Israeli Occupation, most lands are closed military zones, while Rural and Bedouin communities are heavily targeted through banning new constructions, most rural and Bedouin communities are heavily targeted, the occupation prohibits any expansions, and most residential or agricultural structures received halt of work notices.
On the other hand, Israeli colonies are expanding rapidly, and during the current year, colonists sat up a siege to impose realities on the ground and devour vast areas of lands.
