Thursday , 11 October, The occupation forces and its bulldozers broke into Al-Jiftlik area north Jericho and they carried out ravaging in an area called "Al-Mesfeh"m ehrer they destroyed two agricultural barracks and a residential one. And destroying a mobile metal room that was donated by ACTED, these properties are owned by three Palestinian families from "Al-Ka'abneh".
East from Jifitlik in an area known as :Al-Makhrouq" close to bypass road (90), the occupation demolished to tents and a sheep barn for "Abu-Sweilem" family who live in that aream the occupation claims that these properties are not permitted by what is so called "The Israeli civil administration" Names of the owners of the demolished properties and other information:

One of the victims "Odeh Najeh Ka'abneh" told LRC observer: "In may 2017, the occupation forces carried out destroying my agricultural and residential barracks in the same location, then I started in the process of getting a permit but I was shocked due to the complicated and incapacitate terms of the occupation , and I moved the Properties close to my families, In July I received a notice to stop the construction in the new sight, And despite that I have been working on getting a permit I was surprised early on Thursday about 5:00 am, that two bulldoazers reached the place an carried out ravaging my agricultural barracks and another one for my son Najeh without any warning"
About al- Jiftlik:
It is located 35km to the northern part of Jericho city and is edged by the village of Beit Dajan from the northwest and Massua colony from the west. The village has a population of 3100 people until 2017 and has a total land area of 185031 dunums of which 1110 dunums are built-up area. Noteworthy, the occupation expropriated around 12040 dunums from the village as follows:
- 3207 dunums were confiscated for the favor of establishing colonies in the nearby.
- 3328 dunums were confiscated for the bypass roads no. (90, 505, and 508).
- 5505 dunums were confiscated for the favor of military camps
The Israeli authorities' demolitions of demolishing Palestinian properties violates the international convention of human rights:
Article 17 from the international declaration of human rights (1948) :
- Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others.
- No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property
Article 53 of Geneva fourth convention that forbids destroying properties : Any destruction by the Occupying Power of real or personal property belonging individually or collectively to private persons, or to the State, or to other public authorities, or to social or co-operative organizations, is prohibited, except where such destruction is rendered absolutely necessary by military operations.
Article23 of Hague convention 1907 part g: To destroy or seize the enemy's property, unless such destruction or seizure be imperatively demanded by the necessities of war.
International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights 1966 , decree 2200 – General Assembly of the United Nations:
Article 11 : 1- The States Parties to the present Covenant recognize the right of everyone to an adequate standard of living for himself and his family, including adequate food, clothing and housing, and to the continuous improvement of living conditions. The States Parties will take appropriate steps to ensure the realization of this right, recognizing to this effect the essential importance of international co-operation based on free consent.
