Details:
Israeli Occupation Forces demolished on May 02, 2018 some residential and agricultural structures belonging to citizens from Al-Markiz village of Masafer Yatta area, south Hebron governorate on the claim of "unlicensed construction". Reportedly, the force also demolished water tanks and confiscated some solar panels and batteries.
Eyewitnesses said that a vehicle relative to Israel Civil Administration accompanied by Israel Border Police, two military dozers, a truck and workers from Israeli private company raided the area in the morning and carried out the demolition after securing closure and evacuating some of the targeted structures' interiors.
It is reported that the demolished structures belong to the following:
1. Mohammad Najajreh: Israeli Occupation Forces demolished his tin-roofed structures (35m2), which was built in 2014. The structure was a home for eight member family

Najajreh said that the dozers demolished the house on its interior and banned the owner from extracting any. In addition, the attacking force confiscated four solar panels and batteries used to generate electricity for the structure.
At time of the demolition, the dozers also demolished two water tanks and a filtering system attached to them.

2. Yousef Makhamreh: Israeli Occupation Forces demolished his residential room, where his six member family including two children live. The room was built in 2014 with a total area of 30m2. Photo 7: sings of the demolition act
After becoming homeless, the family now lives in an ancient cave in the area where the room was demolished in.

The Israeli dozers also demolished a 150m2 barn after bringing down the sheds surrounding it and confiscated four solar panels and batteries used for generating electricity.
3. Yousef Houshyeh: Israeli Occupation Forces demolished his 30m2 tin-roofed room, where his six member family used to live.

Land Research Center LRC sees that demolitions contradict with all the International conventions and Humanitarian laws including:
Article 17 of the (1948) Universal Declaration of Human Rights stating: “Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others. No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property.”
Section ‹G› of article 23 of the (1907) The Hague Conventions asserting: “In addition to the prohibitions provided by special Conventions, it is especially forbidden to destroy or seize the enemy's property, unless such destruction or seizure be imperatively demanded by the necessities of war.”
Article 53 of the Geneva Fourth Convention (1948) declaring: “Any destruction by the Occupying Power of real or personal property belonging individually or collectively to private persons, or to the State, or to other public authorities, or to social or cooperative organizations, is prohibited, except where such destruction is rendered absolutely necessary by military operations.”
Section 1, Article 11 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (1966): “The States Parties to the present Covenant recognize the right of everyone to an adequate standard of living for himself and his family, including adequate food, clothing and housing, and to the continuous improvement of living conditions.
