The Israeli occupation authorities on January 16, 2018served a final demolition order on the residence of citizen Omar Dhabayneh from Tarqumiya town in Hebron governorate.It should be marked that the wife of the affected citizen found the order left under a stone by the structure.

The military order mentioned that the house lacks a building permit and compelled a halt on all of the construction works and the demolition of what has been so far built within a seven day deadline, starting from the order’s date of issuance.The Israeli occupation authorities on October 17, 2017 served a stop-work and construction order on the targeted agricultural room.Reportedly, the targeted structure is a 16m2 agricultural room that was build in 2016. The room is clay-roofed.

It is noteworthy that the Israeli Occupation Authorities use the claim of lands classified as "C" according to Oslo Accords to ban Palestinian urban expansion and demolish existing structures. Areas "C" form about 62% of the West Bank and are under Israeli administrative and military control. Despite that Palestinians have ownership documents on such lands, yet they are not allowed to use them due to the Accords. Since there are no place to build on, some build structures there but end with demolition. Israel has, since the Accords, used such lands as reserve for colonial expansion and other military activities.
About Tarqumiya:
10 km to the west of Hebron city , Tarqumiya is edged by Beit Ula and Beit Kahil villages from the north, Idhna village from the west, Taffuh village from the east and Dura village from the south.
Its population mounts up to 18,514 people (2014 census). Tarqumiya's total land area is 22,106 dunums, of which 2,117 dunums are considered the village's built-up area.Israeli colonies confiscated 948 dunums from Marda lands. Adora colony that was established in 1982 confiscated 442 dunums from the village. It is now home for 191 colonists.
As for Telem colony, it confiscated 506 dunums from Tarqumiya and is now home for 127 colonists.
The lands of Tarqumiya are classified according to Oslo Accords as the following:
- 8,186 dunums (37%) are classified as area B
- 13,920 dunums (63%) are classified as area C
