Details:
Israeli Occupation Forces demolished on March 27, 2017 a blacksmith workshop in Al-Jiftlik village on the claim of "unlicensed construction". The structure is owned by citizen Anwar Abu Judah (59); a head of eleven member family including two children.
The workshop is a metal slaps barrack (120m2). It was leveled via military dozers, which left the area at noon. It should be noted that the accompanying soldiers threw the equipments of the workshop outside, causing damage to them.
It should be also noted that Israeli Occupation Forces demolished a metal gate (6m) whilst raiding the area.
It is reported that the demolished barrack was built in 2015. In the same year, the structure was served a stop-work order but Jerusalem Legal Aid Center JLAC managed to "freeze" the demolition order through Beit El colony.
Despite preparing all licensing documents, the owner lately received a demolition order on the claim of "unlicensed construction" and therefore the structure was later brought down.

About al- Jiftlik:
It is located 35km to the northern part of Jericho city and is edged by the village of Beit Dajan from the northwest and Massua colony from the west.
The village has a population of 4789 people until 2014 and has a total land area of 185031 dunums of which 1110 dunums are built-up area. Noteworthy, the occupation expropriated around 12040 dunums from the village as follows:
· 3207 dunums were confiscated for the favor of establishing colonies in the nearby.
· 3328 dunums were confiscated for the bypass roads no. (90, 505, and 508).
· 5505 dunums were confiscated for the favor of military camps.
