A Israeli plan to strike the village's economy :
The mayor of Sinjil Ayoub Swayed to the LRC researcher stated the following :
"there are Israeli plans that aim at striking the local economy of the area and at changing facts on the ground, which will be hard to deal with in the future. The occupation, every now and then, closes the entrances of Sinjil to affect its economy since the village has a good number of commercial shops. Not only that, the occupation greater goal is to place people in a besieged place; a big prison".
A closure since 2000:
It should be mentioned that the occupation army has been closing the eastern entrance of Sinjil by roadblocks and dirt walls since the outbreak of the second intifada in 2000. Noteworthy, the closed way is the main route which links the village with the bypass road no. 60.
