Violation: Israeli troops confiscated 5 water tankers.
Location: Al Hadidiyya and Himsa – the Jordan Valley area.
Date: June 19, 2012.
Perpetrators: the Israeli Occupation Army.
Victims: 11 Palestinian families.
Details:
The Israeli Occupation Authorities have been targeting the Palestinian presence in the fertile lands of the Jordan Valley. On June 19, 2012, a large Israeli force broke into the nomads dwellings of Al Hadidiyya and Himsa and confiscated 5 water tankers that were used to supply the dwellings with water.
It must be noted that the confiscated tankers were a donation of the Palestinian Ministry of Local Governance with a purpose of easing water access knowing that it cost the locals around 15 ILS per m3 to transport water using these tankers.
The Israeli Occupation Army justified the confiscation by claiming that they were parked in a closed military zone while knowing that the Israeli Army considers the whole Jordan Valley area so.
