The recent demolitions are part of the Israeli systematic ethnic cleansing policy intended to replace the Palestinian dwellers with colonists. The Israeli Occupation Governments have been intensively targeting the Jordan Valley; in the past ten years; all of the structures in the area have been either demolished or awaiting demolishing.
The Israeli Army displaced the nomads inhabiting the area around Tubas many times before, claiming that their presence threatens the nearby colonies of Beqaot and Hamadat. The dwellers of Al Hadidiyyah objected to their expulsion in the Israeli Courts; the final decision was allocating 91 dunums for these families residency.
Nevertheless, the Israeli Army and colonists completely ignore the Court decision and continue their aggressions against the Palestinian.
Al Hadidiyyah – an Overview:
Al Hadidiyyah is located 33 km to the east of Tubas city. It is inhabited by around 200 people spreading over more than 70 dunums. The locals depend largely on agriculture and herding in their living. The Israelis have been trying to evict the residents of Al Hadidiyyah by any means including demolition threats, actual demolitions, land confiscations, etc; while the Israelis claim that the village is located within a ‘military zone’. It is surrounded by the Israeli colonies of Beqaot and Roi (west); and Hamadat (east).
