Violation: 10 Palestinians received stop-work orders for 31 structures benefiting 59 people.
Location: Yirza – Tubas.
Date: September 9, 2012.
Perpetrators: the so-called Inspection Subcommittee – the Israeli Occupation Civil Administration.
Details:
A new wave of Israeli aggressions has hit Yirza in September while the Israelis are trying to orce the residents out of their homes. On September 9, 2012, a large Israeli force broke into Yirza, accompanied by officers of the Israeli Occupation Civil Administration, and handed the locals stop-work orders for 31 structures in the village. The Israelis claim that the structures are built in ‘closed military zone’.
The orders set September 30, 2012 as the date of a hearing session to be held in Beit El Military Court to decide on the fate of the structures. Mukhles Masa’eed said: ‘the Israelis are targeting the very existence of Palestinians in the area; they are trying to capture the lands despite the fact that Palestinians own it by claiming that it is a closed military zone. Not a month passes without a new wave of demolition or hearing about loss of cattle or an injury to one of my fellow countrymen d ue to random shootings‘.
The Israelis also targeted the solar power station, a project that was implemented by Al Najah University and funded by the Italian Government. The solar panels were supposed to provide the village with power. See Table 1: a list of affected Palestinians

Photo 1& 2: Some copies of the military orders in Yirza village
Yirza:
Yirza is located 10 km away from Tubas Governorate, in Al Buqe’a Plain. 12 families (100 people) reside in the area, these are the remains of its original population, counting hundreds, and used to plant the 25000 dunums area including 283 dunums classified as “country root”. More than 75% of Yirza lands are registered property of Palestinian families according to Jordanian laws, however, the Israeli measures of land confiscations and house demolitions forced most of its population to immigrate.
The Israelis consider Yirza as a closed military zone; the 25,000 dunums that form Yirza are used as training grounds by the Israeli Occupation Army despite the fact that it is inhabited by Palestinian citizens. In addition, Cobra military encampment is located in Yirza hindering the development and growth of the village and, inevitably, imposing a great deal of danger on the lives of the people.
