Violation: Orders for 3 residual tents and 2 sheds
Date: 22+24/7/2013
Perpetrators: The so-called Construction and Organization Committee of the Israeli occupation
Victims: 3 citizens
Details:
The Jordan valley along with the hills surrounding it is a target for the Israeli occupation that aims at evacuating people from their land and replacing them with illegal colonists. The Palestinian right to residency is always under attack, especially in the Palestinian ghors. A visitor to Ein Al-Holwa, for example, can see the expansion operations of "Maskiot" colony by adding new units. People living 200m and less have to leave their tin-made houses that are constantly under attack.
On 22/07/2013, the Israeli occupation issued orders for two families in Ein Holwa to evacuate their place in seven days. The reason behind the orders, according to the Israeli authorities, is unlicensed construction in military closed areas.
On 24/07/2013, a citizen from Wadi Al-Maleh received an order to stop building. He was given time till 19/08 to remove all the buildings or otherwise they will get demolished.
