The Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territory continued during the month of November 2015, where the clashes erupted between Palestinians and the Israeli Occupation Army in several areas in the West Bank, where the Israeli Army used live bullets to attack Palestinians, causing hundreds of injuries and a number of Palestinian were killed. Also the Israeli Occupation Authorities started to implement a “collective punishment” policies against the Palestinians in the oPt. Where during the month of November 2015, the Israeli Occupation Army carried out an operation against the Palestinians, especially the families of martyrs and prisoners, where they threatened to demolish their houses. Furthermore, some of the Israeli leaders and politicians demanded the Israeli government to expel the families of martyrs and prisoners to Gaza Strip.
During the month of November 2015, the Israeli Occupation Army stormed, in a daily base, the Palestinian houses and structures, and a number of Palestinian organizations. Also, the Israeli Army invaded the campus of Al Quds University in Abu Dis town, east of Jerusalem city, and the campus of Al Khadouri University in Tulkarm city, which effected the conduct of the educational process. furthermore, the Israeli Army stormed Palestinian hospitals and arrested Palestinian injuries, and this what happened in Al Ahli Hospital in Hebron city. As the Israeli Army closed the emergency center in Hebron city. In additional to the storming of the headquarter of Al Makassed Hospital in At-Tur town in Jerusalem city, several times.
Israeli closure effects the Palestinian movement in the occupied West Bank
To implement its policies of “collective punishment” against the Palestinians, the Israeli Occupation Authorities proceeded to close tens of the entrances of Palestinian villages and towns, which increased the complexity of the Palestinian movement between their villages and towns. Also the Israeli Authorities isolated a number of Palestinian towns, by closing all of its entrances by erecting cement blocs, earth mounds or erecting military checkpoints. It’s worth to mention, that the Israeli Authorities aimed to close the entrances of Palestinians towns and villages, which located near the Israeli bypass road, used by the Israeli settlers living in the illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory.
In Bethlehem Governorate, the Israeli Occupation Army closed the western entrance of Beit Fajjar village, south of Bethlehem city, and erected a military tower near it, also they aimed to close a number of roads in Al Khader village, southwest of Bethlehem city, in addition to the closure of the entrance of Um Rukba area, which it located near the Israeli Bypass road No.60. Moreover the Palestinian villages of Al Masarah, Jurit Ash-Sham’a, Za’tara, Marah Rabah and Beit Jala towns suffered from the Israeli closure, where their entrances closed by the Israeli Army as well.
In Jenin Governorate, the Palestinian town of Yabad, west of Jenin city, suffered from the Israeli closure procedures. In additional to, the Israeli Occupation Army (IOA) closed, for several times, Al Jalamah military checkpoint, north of Jenin city, which links the northern part of the West Bank with the areas occupied in the year of 1948.
While in Jerusalem Governorate, t the Israeli closure continued in the city, and which started during the month of October 2015, where the Israeli Army erected a number of checkpoints at the entrances of the Palestinian villages and towns, and closed other entrances. For the month of November 2015, the Israeli Army closed the eastern entrance of Al Issawiya town, and a main road in Ras Al Amoud neighborhood in Silwan town, south of the old city of Jerusalem. Furthermore, the Israeli Army aimed to close the military checkpoints surrounded the city of Jerusalem, where they prevented Palestinians from entering or leaving the city.
Hebron Governorate, get its turn from the Israeli closure, where the governorate suffered from an Israeli operation, which effected all aspects of life in the governorate. The Israeli Army tightened its procedures in the Governorate, by erecting the military checkpoints at the entrances of several towns and villages, or by closing the entrances with cement blocks, earth mound and the iron gats. The Palestinian villages and towns are: Mafer Yatta area, Frush Al Hawa, Al Fahes, Zif, Dura, Deir Samit, the entrance of Al Fawar refugee camp, Bani Naim, As-Samu’, Ad-Dhahiriya and Sair and the surrounded areas and villages, Also the Israeli Army closed all the entrances of Beit Ummer and Beit ‘Awa towns.
While in Ramallah Governorate, the Israeli Occupation Army closed the entrances of An-Nabi Saleh, Ein Yabrud, Al Mughayyir, Sinjil villages and the southern entrance of Silwad town and Beit ‘Ur junction, in additional to the closure of Atara military checkpoint, north of Ramallah city, and the DCO military checkpoint, at the northern entrance of Al Bireh city.
The Israeli Occupation Army also, closed all the entrances of Kafl Haris village in Salfit Governorate, which isolated the village from the nearby villages and towns.
Concerning Nablus Governorate, the Israeli Occupation Army closed, with a daily base, Beit Furik, Huwara and Za’tara military checkpoints, which led to the difficulty of the entering or leaving of the Palestinians from Nablus city. Also, the Israeli Army closed the entrances of Aqraba, Osarin, Awarta and Burin villages.
Israel to silent the Palestinian voice by targeting the audio Media in the Occupied Palestinian Territory
During the Israeli military operation against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, the Israeli Authorities issued orders to close a number of Radio stations in Jenin and Hebron Governorates. It’s worth to mention that the Israeli Occupation Authorities claimed that these radio stations broadcast incitement against Israeli settlers.
Where in Jenin Governorate, the Israeli Occupation Army handed out the workers in “Nass” Radio in Jenin city a military order to close the station and confiscate all the broadcast equipment.
In Hebron Governorate, the Israeli Occupation Army invaded the headquarter of “Freedom” Radio in Hebron city, destroyed and confiscated the broadcast equipment and handed out the director of the radio station a military orders to close the radio. Also, the Israeli Authorities issued a military order to close “Hebron” Radio, where they handed out the order to the director of the radio after storming the headquarter and confiscating the broadcast equipment. Furthermore, the Israeli Occupation Army stormed the headquarter of “One” Radio station in Hebron city and confiscated all the broadcast equipment after they handed out the workers a military order to close the radio station.
Israel buried any opportunity to achieve Peace and declared a number of colonial project in the occupied Palestinian Territory.
On the 9th of November 2015, the Israeli Planning and Construction Committee in the Israeli Civil Administration approved the construction of 2,200 housing units in additional to legalize two Israeli outposts. In the details, the Israeli Civil Administration granted the green light for 2,200 housing units by approving the master plan for the illegal Israeli settlement of Ma’aleh Michmash and the surrounded ones. Where Ma’aleh Michmash settlement located southeast of Ramallah city. The master plan included the approval of the construction of 2,200 housing units in the Israeli settlements of: Ma’aleh Michmash, Rimonim, Kochav Hashahar, Tel Zion and Psagot, and the area south of the settlement of Ofra. The plan also seeks to regularize the Mitzpeh Danny and Neveh Erez outposts. Under the plan, by the year 2030 there will be 800 homes in Ma’aleh Michmash, which serves as a land reserve in the region, while 300 more homes will be added to Kochav Hashahar. In Total some 2,200 homes will be added to the area’s settlements.
On the 11th of November 2015, the Israeli Planning and Construction Committee in the Israeli Municipality of Jerusalem approved a plan to construct 891 housing units in the illegal Israeli settlement of Gilo, north of Bethlehem city. According to the plan, the construction of new housing units will be in an open space area located between the aforementioned settlement and the nearby town of Beit Jala.
Also ,On the 17th of November 2015, the Israeli Prime Minister; Benjamin Netanyahu approved a plan to construct 454 housing units in the illegal Israeli settlements of Ramat Shlomo and Ramot in Jerusalem city. According to the reports, the Prime Minister approved the immediate marketing of land for the construction of 436 housing units in the illegal Israeli settlement of Ramat Shlomo and 18 new housing units Ramot settlement.
More than that , and on the 17th of November 2015, the Israeli Ministry of Housing and Construction revealed on its intention to establish a new Israeli colonial neighborhood in Bab As-Sahera (Herod’s gate) area in the old city of Jerusalem. The plan included the construction of 21 housing units, a synagogue and a religious Jewish school.
Furthermore, the Israeli colonial projects did not stop by approving the construction of new housing units which aimed to expand the illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory, where the so called Israeli security cabinet approved extra funding for Jerusalem city, to strengthen businesses and colonial existence in the city.
The Israeli security cabinet authorized the Israeli army to impose full closures on Palestinian villages in the West Bank without waiting for approval from the Israeli government. And for that, the Israeli Occupation Army closed the entrances of a number of Palestinian villages and towns.
On the 26th of November 2015, the Israeli Minister of Defense “Moshe Ya’alon” revealed his intention to build massive security fence, similar to that between Israel-Egypt border, which will separate between the Hebron city, south of the West Bank, and the Israeli settlement of Kiryat Gat located inside the Green Line.
During the month of November 2015, the Israeli settlers with the help from the Israeli Occupation Army had built a new colonial road on private Palestinian land, where these road benefits a nearby illegal outposts, such as Mitzipe Danne outpost in Ramallah Governorate. The Israeli Government claimed that the new roads have never been challenged in court, so there is no reason they cannot be built.
Israeli settlers carried out more than 70 attacks against Palestinians during the month of November 2015
The Applied Research Institute – Jerusalem (ARIJ), documented the Israeli settlers attacks against the Palestinians their properties during the month of November 2015, where about 74 attacks carried out by the Israeli settlers. Most of the Israeli settlers attacks targeted Jerusalem Governorate, with 26 attacks, then in Hebron Governorate, 15 attacks, and in Nablus Governorate, 15 attacks were reported.
While the type of these attacks, varied between uprooting trees, razing land, storming towns and villages, closing roads, attacking Palestinian properties assaulting Palestinians and stabbing them, hit them by their vehicles or shooting them, in additional to the daily storming of the religious and historic sites. During the month of November 2015, the Israeli setters attacks against the religious and historic sites reached to 24 attacks, and 20 attacks of these were against Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem city. On the other hand the Israeli settlers attacks against Palestinians were about 19 attacks and against Palestinian properties 16 attacks. Furthermore, the Israeli settlers carried out about 11 demonstration against Palestinians, where they chanted anti-Palestinian slogans, closed road, and carried out provocative actions.
Israeli bulldozers demolished 42 houses and 27 structures in several areas in the occupied West Bank
During the month of November 2015, the Israeli Occupation bulldozers demolished 42 houses and 27 structures (animal sheds, agricultural and commercial) in several areas in the occupied West Bank, under the claim that the targeted houses and structures were built without permits since they located in areas classified as “Area C” (according to Oslo Agreement ,1995), which is under the control of the Israeli Authorities.
The new things in the demolition of houses and structures which carried out during the month of November 2015, that the Israeli Army demolished Palestinian houses located in areas classified as “Area A & B” (Area A: it is under the fully control of the Palestinian Authorities and Area B: it is under the control of the Palestinian Authorities in the administrative matters) according to Oslo Agreement, 1995.
As a matter of fact the Israeli Authorities implemented “collective punishment” against Palestinians, where they demolished houses and structures owned by the families of Palestinian martyrs and prisoners.
In Tubas and the northern Jordan valley Governorate, the Israeli Occupation Army demolished 26 houses and 8 structures. It’s important to point that Al Hadidiya area, southeast of Tubas city, was the most area effected by the Israeli demolition process.
While in Hebron Governorate, the Israeli Occupation bulldozers demolished 5 houses and 9 structures. Where the most of the targeted houses are structures located in Sair town, north of Hebron city, in additional to Halhul town and area in Hebron city.
In Jerusalem Governorate, the Israeli Occupation Army demolished 5 houses and three structures in Beit Hanina and Jabal Al Mukabir towns.
Israeli demolition orders targeted more than 60 houses and structures in the oPt
In additional to the demolition of 42 houses and 27 structures, the Israeli Occupation Authorities also, issued orders to demolish about 64 houses and structures in several areas in the occupied West Bank. As usual, the Israeli Authorities claimed that the targeted houses and structures were built without proper authorization since they located in an area classified as “Area C” which it under the control of the Israeli Authorities
The new Israeli claiming, that the Israeli Occupation Authorities issued orders to demolish houses and structures located in areas classified as “Area A & B”, which these houses owned by the families of Palestinian martyrs and prisoners.
In Jerusalem Governorate, the Israeli Authorities issued orders to demolish 26 houses and structures, which targeted, in the most, the houses in several neighborhoods in Silwan town, south of the old city of Jerusalem.
While in Jericho Governorate, the Israeli Occupation Authorities issued orders to demolish 13 houses and structures. And in Nablus Governorate, the Israeli demolition orders targeted 11 houses and structures, 10 of them located in Jalud village, south of Nablus city.
Concerning Tubas Governorate, the Israeli Occupation Authorities issued orders to demolish 7 houses structures, where 6 of the targeted houses and structures located in Al Hadidiya area, southeast of Tubas city. Noted that Al Hadidiya area located within the Eastern Segregation Zone area. It’s worth to mention, that during the month of November 2015, the Israeli Occupation Army handed out dozens of Palestinian families living in several areas in the northern of Jordan valley, evacuation orders, under the claim of the Israeli military trainings. Noted that the Israeli Occupation Army carried out their military trainings in areas in the northern of Jordan Valley, where they forced Palestinians to evacuate these areas.
To Conclude
Israel is moving forward to create new facts on the ground, by building and expanding the illegal Israeli settlements, legalizing the outpost, constructing the Israeli Segregation wall and imposing closure in the Palestinians in several areas in the occupied Palestinian territory, which it will affect the international effort to resurrect the Peace process between Palestinians and Israelis and to reach a just and lasting Peace agreement based on “Two state solution”.
