Wednesday morning, September 14th 2022, The Israeli Occupation Forces accompanied by a military bulldozer raided Rujeib village and carried on demolishing two agricultural rooms and ravaging an agricultural road. The targeted rooms belong to Citizen Hilal Rawajba and Waheeb Abu ‘Aisha, the demolition as they claim occurred on the pretext of building without a license in area “C”.
The affected citizen Hilal Rawajba told LRC the following:
“A massive army force Accompanied by the Israeli Organization Department, and a massive military bulldozer raided the area at 8:00 in the morning at his plot in Khallet Tahaq southeast the village and carried on demolishing an agricultural room built of stones and steal sheets and has a total area of 9 m2.”

Rawajba asserted: “I built an agricultural room to use it whenever I work at my land , suddenly and out of nowhere a military bulldozer raided the area and ravaged an agricultural road (300*3 m), and made it hard to access the land”.

Rawajba received a halt of work notice two months ago, but failed to prepare the legal file before the operation.
The Occupation also demolished another room belongs to farmer Waheeb Abu ‘Aisha with a total area of 16 m2, and it is a small room built of zinc and located close to his land , in addition to sabotaging a siege that surrounds a 1 dunums plot , the siege is 40 m long.

Located 4km southeast of Nablus, Rujeib is surrounded by Balata Camp(north), Kafr Qalil and Mount Gerizim (west), Beit Furik and Beit Dajan (east), Huwara and ‘Awarta (south).
It has a total area of 4917 dunums, 724 of which are built-up area of the village.
The Israeli occupation confiscated 133 dunums from the village lands for:
Itamar colony which was built on part of Rujeib lands in 1984. The colony is inhabited by 557 colonists and devoured 133 dunums of the village.
Besides, bypass roads number 60 and 557 confiscated more than 823 dunums of the village lands.
According to Oslo Accords, only 30% of Rujeib lands is under Area B (PA is in charge of civil matters with Israel responsible for security) while 70% is under Area C (Israel maintains full security and administrative control). Here are the area in dunums:
