Mr. Al-Shawaheen, 40 years old, indicated that about a month ago, his clan built 3 tents and an agricultural service room in their agricultural lands to be used as resting places and stores for their agricultural tools. However, a while ago, the settlers seized an area estimated at tens of dunums in close proximity of his clan’s land, and planted it with grape seedlings, and built road around it. He went on to say that the “Carmiel” settlement is about 150-200 away from the place where they built their tents and the agricultural service room, and that the settlers were watching them while building these tents and room, using drones to follow up the progress of work and monitor what they were doing.
He pointed out that the citizens left the site at night, and returned to it in the morning and found all their facilities had been demolished, noting that the colonists were the ones who demolished them.
Al-Shawaheen confirmed that the citizens neither received any work-stop notices nor demolition orders from the occupation authorities and the settlers carried out the demolitions by themselves under the cover of darkness.
