The details:
For the third time since the beginning of this year 2022, and within three weeks, the occupation authorities demolished and destroyed the homes and agricultural facilities of citizens in the villages of Al-Fakhit and Al Markaz in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.
At about ten in the morning on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, a force of the occupation army and the so-called Border Police and vehicles belonging to the so-called Organization and Construction Department of the “Israeli Civil Administration” affiliated with the occupation stormed Masafer Yatta, accompanied by two bulldozers and workers from an Israeli civil company, and they headed towards Al-Fakhit village.
After the occupation authorities reached where citizens of the Abu Sabha family lived, the occupation soldiers cordoned off the place, in order to demolish tent houses that the citizens had erected after the occupation authorities demolished their homes and facilities on (5/11/2022).
The workers accompanying the occupation authorities took the citizens’ belongings and possessions out of the tents and dumped them in the open. Then the machinery began to demolish the residential and agricultural tents, which belong to each of:
- The citizen, Muhammad Ayoub Abu Sabha: Three residential tents, each of an area of 30 m², were demolished, in which his family of (8 members – including 6 children) lived in it.
- Bilal Ayoub Abu Sobha: A 30 m² residential tent inhabited by his family of (5 members – including 3 children) was demolished, in addition to a 10 m² tent that was used as a kitchen, and a tent that was used as a fodder store was also demolished. (20 m²).

Relief institutions had provided these tents to house the citizens after the occupation authorities carried out a demolition of their homes and agricultural facilities on (5/11/2022). Due to the scorching summer heat, the occupation authorities demolished it without prior notifications.
Not to forget! The persistence of the occupation authorities in demolishing citizens’ homes and facilities in the villages of Masafer Yatta coincides with the decision of the Israeli Supreme Court, which issued its ruling in early May 2022 to forcibly deport the residents of Masafer Yatta villages from their homes and lands. Where the occupation authorities started their procedures for the purpose of forcing the residents to leave by carrying out demolitions and preventing the establishment of alternatives for what is being demolished. In addition to the occupation army digging longitudinal trenches to separate the Masafer Yatta areas (about 30 thousand dunams) from its surroundings, in addition to the occupation’s work on building a section of the wall of annexation and expansion that narrows the population and forces them to leave their lands.
