Description:
Under the horrible conditions the world is experiencing , as a result of the spread of the Corona virus, and is Palestinians are living in home quarantine , the Israeli Occupation is taking advantage of the current situation to implement their schemes, and make objection measurements almost impossible.
In the meanwhile, The state of emergency was declared in the Palestinian territories in March 6th 2020, to confront the Corona pandemic, and in March 6th 2020 it became clear that the occupation authorities had issued an order to uproot and confiscate olive seedlings from a plot that belong to citizen Samir Al-Shalaldeh in Sa`ir town, north Hebron.
The owner had no prior knowledge of this matter, and he was surprised when he received a phone call from one of his neighbors in Wadi Sa’ir, telling him that soldiers from the occupation army and workers had stormed his land in the area, and began to uproot the newly planted olive seedlings and load them onto a truck .
Mr. Shalaldeh went to his land to see what had happened and he found a notice issued by the occupation authorities entitled “Eviction notice ” attached with it maps and a picture showing the targeted land. The notice was dated March 8th 2020 and gave the owner 24 hours for objection.

Shalalda told LRC that in January 2020, he got his land reclaimed and cultivated with about 300 olive seedlings. the total area of his targeted land is 20 dunums located in the fertile Wadi Sai’r area.
In this regards, it is worth to mention the impossible mission given to Shalalda to object to the order within a period of 24 hours in these terrible circumstances, as people are staying home to prevent the spread of the pandemic, and in light of the closure of all related departments responsible for documents issuance required by the occupation to object to such orders. In fact, the Israeli occupation authorities are taking benefit of the ongoing closures and restrictions that have been in force since the spread of Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020.
