Wednesday night , March 2020 and while people of the Jaba’ait Bedouin community were asleep, a group of fanatic settlers sneaked into a nearby barn only 100 m from the Bedouin community of Khirbet Jaba’ait, and stole 25 head of sheep (aging 2-3 months), the sheep were taken to a new outpost in “Jaba’ait” evicted military camp.
The targeted herd belongs to Rancher Fadel Abu ‘Alya who told LRC:
“Settlers made an outpost at the Jaba’ait evicted military camp which was evicted in 2017 , and since then we suffer from their daily harassments , at Wednesday night they came to the community , sabotaged the fence of a barn and stole 25 new born sheep , we went to the “Ariel” police station to file a complaint , but nothing was done to stop the attacks from reoccurring.”

Noteworthy, Cattle breeding is the main source of income for this community that is composed of 56 people. Rancher Fadel Abu Alya supports a family of 9 and considers Cattle breeding a main source of income , the attack caused him a great financial loss.
“Khirbet Jaba’ait” is located to the east of Al-Mughayyir village in Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate , its residents are Bedouins and depend mainly on cattle breeding for living , the community has 56 residents from Abu ‘Alya family, they originally descend from Al-Mughayyir village. Three years ago the Israeli Occupation forces evicted a nearby military camp, rapidly settlers create a new outpost at the location since that day they have been harassing ranchers and Bedouins in order to push them to leave the area.
