Description:
Monday, March 2020 , A group of colonists from Adei Ad settlement carried on ravaging a plot in As-Sedr area northwest Al-Mughayyir- Ramallah governorate.
Reportedly, 47 olive seedlings (aging three years old) were uprooted during ravaging Sa’id Abu ‘Alya’s plot. The olive grove is located in an area where Palestinian farmers are only allowed to access with a permit from the occupation authorities.

Owner Sa’id Abu ‘Alya told LRC:
“I Own 5 dunums of agricultural lands in As-Sedr area close to “Adei Ad” colony, where I planted olive seedlings in order to protect it from colonial expansionist projects , but illegal colonists took advantage of access restrictions imposed on farmers to ravage the plot and loot the seedlings.”
In the same context, Deputy Chief of the village council:
“People of Al-Mughayyir and the village council invested many efforts to cultivate “As-Sedr” area and rehabilitate the road that links to it .on the other hand , Israeli Occupation through the civil administration are doing their best to make sure that this won’t happen, and while Palestinians are not allowed to access their own lands, colonists were left to do whatever they want.”

Al Mughayyir is located 30 km to the north east of Ramallah; it is inhabited by around 3,249 people according to the PCBS statistics conducted in 2017.
Most of the village agricultural fields are located in its eastern parts; its total area is 33055 dunums, 501 of which are built-up area.
The Israeli occupation confiscated 37 dunums of Al Mughayyir lands for bypass #458.
According to Oslo Accords, about 95% of the village is under Area C while only 5% is under Area B.
