Details:
The Qalqiliya village of Azzun has, for long time, suffered from the Israeli measure of closures. Almost every road leading to the village has been previously closed by either metal gates or earth mounds on the usual claim of “Security Purposes”. Such practices are meant as a collective punishment on Palestinians to strike their lives and economy.
It should be marked that the Israeli occupation forces set up on December 08, 2015 a metal gate at the entrance of Azzun village. Noteworthy, the entrance leads to the area of Al-kaffriyat, Jayyous village and Tulkarm city.

By controlling the gate’s movement, the Israeli occupation will impose obstacles on the residents’ movement from and to the village and will cut connection with the neighboring cities and villages.
Therefore, the occupation guaranteed a full closure on the village and its residents. The village is now besieged taking into account that its other entrances are fully closed; the entrances are:
- The eastern entrance of Azzun: This entrance is closed by earth mounds. The entrance is considered a linking point between the village and the bypass road number 55.
- The northern entrance: This road leads to the bypass road number 55 and was closed by a military gate, the movement through which is controlled by the army soldiers.
- The western entrance: This road leads to the village of Izbat Al-Tayyib and was closed by a military gate, the movement through which is controlled by the army soldiers.
- A metal gate at the entrance of Azzun village that leads to the area of Al-kafriat, turning the whole area into a big prison.
