Violation: Destroying olive trees using sharp tools

Ainabos, in the countryside of Nablus, witnessed a new wave of attack by Yitzhar colonists. On Saturday, March 20, a right-wing group of colonists from Yitzhar headed towards Ainabos, specifically in the eastern part of the village that is adjacent to the colony. The colonists cut down and destroyed 34 olive trees that are at least 60 years old! They used sharp tools in carrying out their horrendous crime.
The targeted area is already out of reach for its real owners and farmers who have to coordinate with the Israeli occupation authorities first before having access to it because of its proximity to the colony. For 12 years and up to the present, farmers have been facing great difficulty in reaching their agricultural lands. It should be marked that the destroyed trees belong to Fawwaz Miladi (45), a farmer and breadwinner for his 7-member family.
Colonists of Yitzhar have been attacking agricultural lands either by setting fire to them or destroying the trees during the past few years. They have also ravaged vast areas of the southern countryside of Nablus to expand the colony.
Let alone the daily harassments people of Ainabos suffer from under the hands of colonists passing bypass road number 60. The colonists throw stones at people and beat farmers.

8km south of Nablus, Ainabos is surrounded by Urif (north-west), Jamma'in (west), Huwara (east), and Zeta (south). It is inhabited by 3019 people (according to 2014 projections). It has a total area of 4088 dunums, 482 of which are built-up area of the village.
The Israeli occupation confiscated 114 dunums for: Yitzhar colony which devoured 111 dunums. Besides, bypass number 5076 confiscated more than 2.5 dunums of the village lands.
According to Oslo Accords, 3413 dunums of Ainabos lands are under Area B (PA is in charge of civil matters with Israel responsible for security) while 675 dunums are under Area C (Israel maintains full security and adm inistrative control).
