Violation: 3 stop-work orders for structures in Bardala.
Date: February 7, 2013.
Location: eastern side of Bardala, adjacent to bypass ’90’ – tubas.
Victims: 3 Palestinian families, a total of 20 people including 9 children.
Details:
On February 7, 2013, the Israeli Occupation Army handed villagers of Bardala 3 stop-work orders for 3 agricultural structures. The orders were issued on the pretext of unlicensed construction in area classified ‘C’ according to Oslo Accords. The targeted structures were two fishing pools and a barn that were built at the beginning of the year through a project implemented by the UWAC and funded by the French Representative Office.

Bardala:
Bardala is located to the in the north eastern part of the Jordan Valley; the village is located 24 km to the east of Tubas. Bardala total area is 31,000 dunums, 7,000 dunums isolated behind the segregation wall, 350 dunums of built up area, 250 dunums of greenhouses and 54 dunums were confiscated for the opening of bypass ’54’.
12 dunums of the village lands are planted with grains, 10,000 dunums of seasonal crops and the rest are rangelands. The village is inhabited by 2154 (2009 census); 99 % of the population depend on agriculture and herding in their living.
