Picture 1-2: target area
It must be noted that the Israelis were not satisfied by demolishing the tents, a donation from the ICRC, they also confiscated the tractor and the 3-m3 tanker which was used to transport water from the nearby Beit Furik. The Israelis are trying ti impose more pressure on the Palestinians in order to make them leave.
Al Ju’wana is a small dwelling inhabited by 5 families who depend on livestock in their living. However the lands they are residing in are their property and they are registered so in the official records, records made before the state of Israel. Despite the Palestinian ownership of the lands, the Israelis tend to disrupt the lives of the people and of course, capture as much land as possible claiming that the area is a ‘military zone’.
The village suffered from three demolition campaigns since the beginning of 2012.
