Tubas:
At 7:00 am, 2 Israeli dozers, 7 vehicles, and more than 50 soldiers broke into the Jordan Valley area. They commenced a large-scale demolition campaign targeting the nomads’ gatherings in ‘Al Maleh’. The ruthless campaign targeted a number of simple residences and shacks including Khalil Zawahra 60-m2-shack, built of metal slabs.
Soon afterwards, the Israeli force moved to ‘Al Farisiyya’ and demolished Khayri abu Muhsen 70-m2-residence. The same Israeli force moved towards ‘Al Himma’ and has, so far, demolished 2 barns.
Hebron:
At 8:00 am, more than 30 Israeli soldiers accompanied with 4 vehicles and a dozer besieged Omar Abdul Deen basement, a 150 m2 structure, in Beit Kahil. The narrow road was not wide enough to enable the dozer to pass through so the soldiers called for a smaller one which partially destroyed the building.
Omar had plans to build a house over the basement because of the desperate need for a house, knowing that he is living with his parents.He wanted to expand and find a proper shelter for his 5-member-family. The owner received a demolition order a year prior to the demolition; he objected to the order and was awaiting response; however, the response was demolishing the building.
he Land Research Center strongly denounces the hostile attacks on Palestinian houses and considers it an explicit violation of the International laws including article 53 of the Geneva Fourth Convention, stating: ‘Any destruction by the Occupying Power of real or personal property belonging individually or collectively to private persons, or to the State, or to other public authorities, or to social or cooperative organizations, is prohibited, except where such destruction is rendered absolutely necessary by military operations.‘.
LRC calls all the international and national parties to immediately interfere to stop the attacks on the Palestinians rights and demands the Palestinian Authority and the Arab and International Organizations to compensate for the victims losses.
